Look, the only reason why I'm even talking about this, is because of the shit that went down with my roommate yesterday.

SORTA LONG STORY, BUT I'LL KEEP IT SHORT

My roommate, one the coolest chicks in the world and my "partner in crime", had been feeling like complete shit lately. Somehow I finally talked her into going to the hospital to get checked out.

The doctor told her that she had a sinus infection gave her prescribed some drugs for her. So far, so good.

She went to the local Walgreeens and picked up her meds, but didn't take the pills right away. It wasn't till late last night when she got home from her last class that she finally downed them.

A few minutes later she told me that she "felt dizzy" and started clutching her chest saying she "couldn't breathe."

So I immediately drove her to the ER, breaking every traffic law written and unwritten because I was scared as shit!

When we arrived, we told the doctors treating her what happened, and what medicine she took. It turns out that particular medicine was new had some "unpredictable side effects."

They told us we got there just in time, and they would be able to counter it.

They also went on to tell us (in an effort to cover there assess) that they are NOT responsible for side effects of new medication if:

"the medication in question was the right prescription for her symptoms!"

Luckily she is ok. Still sleeping from being up all night having test ran on her.

HERE'S WHAT I'M PISSED ABOUT!

Why is it okay for doctors (or what I call "Big Pharma's local dope dealers") to push their product on sick people with no consequence?

Weed has been demonized for year decades. Money and government manpower thrown at keeping it out of peoples' hands. Propaganda campaigns to scare the weak-minded. And mass incarceration with unjust sentences!

I've personally been arrested for having an eighth of weed in my car, even though the weed wasn't mine. Luckily I was 17 and they couldn't really do shit to me. And then I was actually lectured about the "dangers of marijuana" from one of the arresting assholes!

YET...

Pharmaceuticals, which do nothing but harm (both long term and short), has not only the protection of American government, but brainwashing media campaigns ran day and fucking night, 24/7!

And for every prescription pill, there is a fucking laundry list of side effects ranging from suicidal thoughts to anal bleeding!

In fact, the death toll for people using pharmaceuticals is going up every goddamn year!

LOOK AT THIS SHIT!

(I WOULD SHOW YOU ONE FOR MARIJUANA RELATED DEATHS... BUT THERE AREN'T ANY!)

By the way, I make it no secret that I love weed! In fact, weed and I have had a long-time love affair since the first time I got "hot-boxed" in my boyfriend's shitty Ford Escort my freshman year of high school.

And not just weed, I also love:

WAX
HASH
SHROOMS

It's a natural gift we've been given from Zeus, yet I've seen a lot of cool people I've known punished for either smoking it or selling it!

(Look, obviously my opinion here is a little biased. But that doesn't mean it's not right ok?)

The point is, my roommate could have died, and there would have been no one to pay for the poison she was prescribed by a "medical professional!"

ANYWAY

It seems the new "war on drugs" is against "US!" Only we have accepted it. Our government has decided to back these criminals, who not only produced and sell toxic shit, but also backs them in gauging prices for patience who end up dependent on them!

"Why is ok for the government to back the drugs of THEIR choosing? While punish those who choose to "go a different way?"

I guess this is more of an angry rant from an angry gal than a revealing "expose" but I'm just fed up with the bullshit! Thank god I live in California where, by next year, weed will be completely legal on a state level!

That's all the "medication" I need!
