Kiss one way to show or say your love to your affection to your loved ones but did you know every time you do a kiss with a loved one it will exchange millions of germs / bacteria to each pair
The researchers found that the kiss was not only part of your way to show love to your partner but also a venue for the exchange of germs that endanger health
Research conducted in the Netherlands found that every time someone kissed for 10 seconds, then about 80 million germs will move from that person to his partner and couples who often kiss every day will eventually have almost the same type of germs.
In one experiment, the researchers gave 25 couples a probiotic drink containing certain bacteria before they started kissing.
Examination of mouth saliva thereafter shows that about 80 million germs have been transferred to each partner
In general, the mouth is actually home to more than 700 types of bacteria but the body is home to more than 100 billion micro organisms which certainly also serves to help fight infection and digest food in the human body
Below you can see some types of diseases that can be transmitted through kissing.
Mononucleosis
Actually the disease is caused by a virus called Epstein-Barr virus.
Symptoms that can be found are sore throat, fever, anxiety, malaise, inflammation, nausea, to loss of appetite, this disease can also affect some parts of the body and cause some other diseases such as sore throat Hinga Hepatitis
The infection spreads through the exchange of saliva (kiss). The incubation period (a time period in which the virus begins to enter the body to cause symptoms) of the virus is about 4-7 weeks.
Hepatitis B
Did you know that kissing a person with hepatitis B also makes you contract the virus (Hepatitis) Hepatitis B virus infection occurs when the blood and saliva of an infected person is in direct contact with the bloodstream or other person's mucous membranes
Someone is more likely to get infected while kissing if they both have open wounds around the mouth
Meningococcus
Meningococcus is a dangerous virus that causes meningitis (inflammation of the lining of the brain) this bacteria can be transmitted either through direct contact or through salivary droplets of patients when kissing
Herpes
Herpes virus actually consists of 2 types, namely the herpes zoster virus that causes chickenpox and herpes simplex virus.
Herpes zoster virus can be transmitted when you are in direct contact (including kissing) with someone who is having chickenpox or recovering from chicken pox (the virus can still be transmitted up to 1-2 weeks after the patient has healed).
While herpes simplex virus can be transmitted through direct contact with the virus when you kiss with someone who is suffering from herpes infection in the area of the lips and surrounding areas (herpes labialis)
