How walking barefoot otherwise known as grounding can benefit your health.
The reason grounding is so powerful is it reduces and prevents inflammation from occurring in the body, which in turn prevents inflammation-related health disorders.
Grounding is simply a way of connecting the soles of your feet to the ground and allowing the transfer of free electrons from Earth through the skin.
There is real science that shows a connection with our earth reduces inflammation in the body.
Just how electricity flowing through a metal wire will create an electric field or magnetic field so does the electricity in the brain and nervous system. There are billions of nerve impulses in the human body that are constantly creating magnetic fields. The heart is a source of electromagnetism just like the earth is, earth being coincidentally an anagram of heart 💚 and at just a few meters away modern scientific instruments will detect the electromagnetic energy produced by the heart which is 100,000 times stronger electrically and up to 5,000 times stronger magnetically than the brain.
We are electrical beings before we are chemical and thinking in terms of electromagnetism when applying the natural sciences of the body in synergy with nature can lead us to a greater understanding of how a simple daily routine of grounding for a period of time every day can vastly improve all aspects of our health.
Grounding as part of your daily routine can reduce stress, something that is near enough unavoidable if you live in modern society. Grounding has been shown to lower cortisol levels which is the stress hormone.
Cortisol is a hormone that is associated with psychologic and physical stress, inflammation, and sleep dysfunction in humans. Chronic elevation of cortisol can result in disruption of circadian rhythms, which, in turn, is a contributor to a multitude of adverse health conditions, including sleep disorders, hypertension and cardiovascular disease, stroke, decreased bone density, decreased immune response, mood disturbances, autoimmune disease, and abnormal glucose levels.
From studies that have been done the results indicate that grounding the human body to earth during sleep reduces night-time levels of cortisol and re-synchronizes hormone cortisol secretion more in alignment with the natural 24-hour circadian rhythm profile. Changes were most apparent in females. Furthermore, subjective re- porting indicates that grounding the human body to earth during sleep improves sleep and reduces pain and stress.
The earth loves our excess energy. In the same way that plants make use of your used breath (they thrive on the CO2 that is the waste product of human respiration, thus my claim that we are literally asking for and giving life with every breath), the earth herself has use for the energy (stale or excess) that we discharge through the root or ground in our auric field.
As our mothers’ bodies did for us when we were in the womb, the earth offers us an energetic umbilical cord and through it helps us maintain our health and well-being. Humans have become chronically ill in recent decades in part because we now touch the actual earth so rarely. It takes an extra effort to activate the natural grounding functions of the body through concrete and from many many stories in the air. These circumstances are not natural to the human energy field, but it can adapt with effort. Practices like Auric Breathing can help us re-discover and re-tune this capacity.
It's often the most simple of practices fitted into a daily routine that have the most profound effects on the body, just the act of standing barefoot in nature and experimentation with breathing techniques can bring us many benefits. There's nothing new under the sun so as we reconnect with nature spiritually and physically it brings us closer to rediscovering ancient forgotten natural sciences such as grounding. As we become more intune with our environment and ourselves our health and everything around us prospers. With so many people suffering ill health in the world it's important people understand the benefits of grounding and are not too quick to dismiss it as hippy nonsense :D
Ah love this! I've been speaking about grounding for years now to others! It's a must for health! Great post 🤗
awesome! thanks :D
