Weighed myself Sunday morning and lost a couple pounds. Nothing really to get excited about. The previous week I was 283.6 pounds, this week I weighed in at 281.6. I lost exactly 2 pounds :( I really wanted to be in the 270's and probably would of hit my goal if I hadn't poured a couple cocktails Friday night!
Water retention from drinking kills your goals. Drinking alcohol two days before your weigh in is not a good idea. Weight lost is weight lost though. Any week I don't gain, is a good week as far as I'm concerned.
On a positive note, my pants are fitting better again :) This morning I put on a pair I couldn't even button in May. That made me feel real good!
I've always found it cheaper to lose weight than to go out and buy new clothes. After I lose a few more pounds, I'm going to go shopping for some new pants. I'll get them a little tight, and that will insure I keep the weight off. I haven't really shopped for pants since the last diet. My pants are starting to get ratty. Definitely time to go shopping. I'll start adding a couple pairs at a time and get them a size smaller. That should keep me motivated to keep the weight off.
So it's Fourth of July weekend coming up. US Independence Day. I'm doing my weekly weigh in on Friday this weekend and cheating over the weekend. Plenty of food and drink, then back to my diet again on Monday. We're having a small family gathering, food, drink and some fireworks in the backyard seeing they canceled the shows due to Covid 19.
Well, that's where I'm at. 281.6... I'll have to see how much weight I can lose from now till Friday. Maybe I'll weigh myself after the holiday weekend too just to see how much weight I gained back. I do enjoy my alcohol though, and that always adds water weight which usually comes off just as fast as you put it on! Maybe an experiment in drinking alcohol and weight loss is in order. I'll weigh in on Friday then again on Monday to see what a cheat weekend actually does.
Alright, a couple more pounds down. Trying to get into the 270s before the holiday weekend. It's only a couple pounds so I'm sure I'll hit it. I'll do another weight post on Friday and let you all know how I made out.
lol This will be me food shopping for the holiday weekend.
I hope posting about it motivates you to keep going. We're with you!
Motivation is exactly why I'm posting these. Each week I post is like a commitment to carrying on with my weight loss goals. It's actually helping a lot. Totally appreciating the support too. Thank you :)
We believe in you!
Nice work. 2 steps forward, 1 back. All good as long as you keep going.
