Ibogaine
Ibogaine is a natural psychoactive alkaloid found in the Iboga shrub of West Africa. Ibogaine alleviates physical withdrawal symptoms.
Which is why they are now using Ibogaine as a treatment for people with addictions and dependencies like:
Methamphetamines
Gambling
Sex
Smoking
Alchohol
Cocaine
Methadone
There are 3 stages to Ibogaine treatment
First, you enter a dream state lasting 4-8 hours where you have lucid awareness. While in this sleep state you will begin to hallucinate of insight to your life and why you act the way you do. What stemmed from childhood or whenever to create your addictive behavior?
Second, is you reflecting on your hallucinations. You see it all differently now because of revisiting your memories. In treatment, you'll spend about 8-20 hrs till you hit the final stage
The final stage, you will be mentally exhausted and it might be difficult to sleep but you now realize reality, and you construct your life in a positive way.
It would be amazing if we all could use more organic and natural things on this earth to treat our bodies. This treatment is banned from the United States which is too bad because we have too many deaths due to chemical reliance. What are your thoughts?
Thanks for raising awareness of alternative and natural treatments! This was an interesting read.
When I saw headline, immediately went to write in comments ibogaine. Then I saw it`s actually about it lol. Saw many videos about it. Every addict said it helped him. Great plant, unfortunately little known.
That's awesome you knew about it. We need more awareness about it!
That sounds way scary! I'm Glad I'm not on Heroin!
the thing is, you could use Ibogaine for any type of addiction therapy. You dont have to be on heroin.
Wow really? Thats awesome!
That's what I was thinking also. Sounds like a trip!
Great post
Will this cure our addiction to Steemit? If so, I don't want any. :-)
Lmao seriously!
I have heard some pretty amazing positive results from ibogaine being used to treat heroin addiction, as an initial step. As far as I know, it's not a panacea or magic pill... but its weaning effects make it possible for addicts to become "stable" for long enough that underlying issues can be addressed while in a semi-healthy and lucid state.
For me, the coolest thing about its potential is that it's not addictive, in and of itself... and subjects generally have zero desire to reexperience the psychedelic "trip" they experience during treatment.
What a great organic way to treat things that can destroy us! How ironic, something that can treat addiction that doesnt cause addiction.
You know folks will tell you this approach has some consequences though. People can overdose or overreact pretty hard.
That makes sense. It could get crazy as hell.
I guess it won't be long before the big pharma decide to patent the plant and call it their own. Create the problem by getting you hooked on legalised opiod and then provide a solution to get you off the opiod addiction. Make money each way!!!
I dont see why they would want a cure for it. They make too much money off of the opioids. Kinda like cancer, there is no way there isnt a cure.
Very true!
Cool Post
Thanks! I love finding interesting things like this!
This plant is very comparable to psilocybin (magic mushroom) and ayahuasca (dmt) these substances are being used for healing anxiety and depression in cancer patients check this link out interesting read.
