YES! thank you for this post, it's so true.
We need to educate the youth about how foods are mis-advertised as being "healthy" foods, when really they are slowly killing us... some of the foods labeled as healthy by the FDA even have carcinogenic compounds in them (they don't care about us, all the care about is their money)

Sugar and salt really are the 'silent killers' in today's day in age.

Part of the problem is that junk food limits mental capacity and so the mind is blocked from understanding what is occurring. This is no accident either, so it is that we are literally faced by corporate interests attempting to dumb down, control and mass murder large numbers of people for their own interests. Why create wars to line your pocket when you can use food?

An easy, but cruel tactic being employed for their own interests.
I hate living in America bc everything is so market-based, what happened to social justice anymore?

Lol I'm moving to Japan, Sayooonaraaaa

EWww.. you said the SJ words... bad conrad! back in the cage!
don't you know that social justice leads to a collapse of social cohesion and the family unit? oh, no, wait - that's communism.. no.. no.. it's drugs.. oh, actually it's anarchism... hmmm

maybe it's actually all caused by corporate domination of the mind, carry on! (in the land of the emperor!) lol

hahahaha veryy sneaky you are with ur(a-soul) words mate!!

salt is an essential mineral
( idk if this is a fact)
but in my opinion it is

a little bit of salt never hurt anyone, but salt in high concentrations, which is often what you will find here in america is not good. leads to hypertension which is a risk factor for many other cardiovascular issues as well like stroke, diabetes and CVD

thanks maybe ill stop drinking salt water every morning then!

I mean, hey, I don't wanna throw you outta your routine, but maybe limiting it down to one or a few times a week instead of everyday would be a solid start!
Like i said a little bit of salt won't kill ya, but when you start consuming sodium in excessive amounts of around 2,300 mg + per day you could pose some serious health risks for the future

~Respect

@conradsuperb are these risk factors due to the salt or the food that the high concentration of salts are in!

i try to eat none processed food so i cook myself, and i don't see how i could overeat on salt.

SALT sodium NaCl
staying away from processed foods is good, be conscientious about the amount of salt you add to your foods when cooking at home (most foods are already made with salt when they are prepared) 2000 mg per day is fine, when you start getting above this it will not be good in long term AKA HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE

when i buy fresh beef from my local market do you think they add salt?
also 2000mg per day is that like WHO recomendations?
guess it depends on your body size and other circumstances i trsin jujitsu twice a day in 30decgreese c heat if i stick below 2000mg id be full of cramp
as i witnessed today from holiday makers here training with us were all cramped up because they are not used to / prepared for the heat

http://healthyeating.sfgate.com/fda-recommended-sodium-intake-1873.html

WHO recommends, as an UPPER limit of 2300 mg. Below this value is where you want to be. Yes, there will already be a baseline level of sodium in many products you purchase, including your beef from the local market, pork, chicken, and even bread

People should be aware of this. To teach their children how to eat healthy foods. Maybe even the school sistem.

Sugar is one of the most addictive substances on the planet. For the world to quit this habit we have a lot of work to do

sugar tricks our gut microbiota into craving moreeeeee.... we definitely have a lot of work to do in term of this health issue

It doesnt help that there are 50+ labels for the same compound. The current food market is a hot scary mess of fud. It can be harder to understand than crypto. So we trust that law makers will change things and once we stop talking about it we all fall right back into their trap. Consume consume, waste waste, repeat.

Yeah, and all they care about is their money, they don't care that they are slowing killing us... some of the foods they label as healthy contain carcinogenic compounds, what the hell is that all about

Well its simple really, poison them and partner with big pharma. Double your profits and keep people sick so they dont become competition. Honestly it was a brilliant scheme and worked flawlessly till the internet showed up and now we have blockchain to fight back and make them transparent and accountable or obselete.

and yet, dropping it is as simple as dropping a pencil.

you make the decision, and you do it.

instead of focusing on the whole world, we need take care of ourselves.

Ghandi once had a woman come to him and ask 'Please tell my son not to eat sugar'

Ghandi said, 'Come back in two days'

She came back two days later, and Ghandi told the child to stop eating sugar.

She asked, why didn't you just do that two days ago?

Ghandi said 'Two days ago I had not quit eating sugar.'

The terrible thing is about junk food is that they are silent killers and it is so tragic to know that most of the food sold at most fast food or reastaurants are A-list junk food. Sometimes ago, McDonald’s employees were told in their guidelines to stay away from foods high in fat, sugar and salt. I asked myself, "What on earth are McDonald's menu items made of"? Burger which is one of the McDonald's top menu item is very high in sodium and it is well known fact that high-sodium diet can lead to high blood pressure and an increased risk for heart disease, stroke and kidney disease. Nutritionist would say make your food your medicine else your medicine would eventually become your food. Parent really need to start checking what their kids eat and consume if they truly value their lives and future. Thanks for sharing.

Absolutely. We can help our kids or we can destroy them by not teaching them how to take care of their health and feeding them with all these chemicals and synthetics .

The problem in the USA far too often begins in infancy when babies are given 'formula' instead of Natures perfect food...breastmilk. :(

Most of the people's complaints we can see from Western countries could be solved by focusing on themselves and their children and not on shouting excuses or pointing fingers towards others. But that would need a goal-oriented mindset, hard work and saying "I am/was wrong. Sorry.".

Being obese is a good example. They are obsessed with what people think/say about them instead of focusing on healthy habbits and solving the root cause of the problem. They hate being overweight but they would rather say they love their body and spread hate on people who say it's not good for them instead of putting the work into it. This is the norm now. That's why I admire people who, despite all the sugarcoating, excuse oriented cultural pressure, put in the work day after day to change their body.

It's all over the internet that sugar is more addictive than cocaine, but nobody cares. I see everyday children drinking coke, redbull and other high sweetened products that are sold everywhere. Sad...

Plenty of people do care, but yes, the hospitals are full of people claiming to wonder why they are dying all while making sure their family brings in mountains of junk to make them 'comfortable'.

You are so right. The invention of high fructose corn syrup is the most corrupt thing in Western civilization.

This makes sense but then what would they eat? Majority of Americans, say 90 percent or 95 do not have a farm. More what would happen to the processing companies and millions of people working there allover the globe?

Being 'out of work' is preferable to working towards the death and suffering of many people. A great alternative is to work as a community to grow organic food in community gardens, for example. The ubuntu movement offers a template for communities to do this.

28x more likely to die.
But, 100% of them will suffer a lower life expectancy with higher rates of all medical problems throughout.

put down that candy bar and start your gun training haha

Or put down your junk food and your guns and start yoga and breathwork :)

i totally agree here !
but it is too difficult to stay away from junk food!

Detoxification goes a long way to solve this problem. Once the body is cleared of some of it's junk, it becomes easier to switch to healthier food sources since the cravings decrease.

why is it difficult to stay away from junk food?

Well said. The food many people feed to their children is worse than the food we feed to our pets.

soo true, this cannot be overephasised. I wonder why it hasn't been banned till today. like the name implies, its junk, wasted!

Good post I like to see it

funny but the truth lies in between the lines. People should be kept in check. Health is wealth they say

Absolutely! Junk foods should to be banned across the world... It is such an indiscretion from the people who love to endorse such food...

Not in Kashmir ,it doesn't

like the candy vending machines they have in schools!
also sitting children in a room teaching them BS subjects like, sewing!
and just one or 2 days a week exercise clss!
then sitting the kids in a room for 5 hours a day indoctrinating them!
then a kid gets restless cos hes sat in down all day so they diagnose him with ADHD or some other bs mental ilness!
and then bang him on ritalin
woohhoo go government!!!
