1. For some, "mental illness" is a very real and helpful explanation for certain life experiences and issues. For others, "mental illness" is merely an unnecessary, stigmatizing label concocted by psychiatry.
2. Do not identify with your diagnosis.
3. Hurt people, hurt people.
4. Psychiatrists are mostly trained, not educated.
5. Psychiatry suffers from conformation bias.
6. If you are suffering, take a step back and ask, "What beliefs are operating here?"
7. The medical cartel -- including doctors, some hospitals and the pharmaceutical industry -- operate to make a profit. It is in their best financial interest to keep you sick and/or not offer a cure.
8. Treatment options are minimal. See number 7.
9. Despite the rigging, maintain a positive view and outlook on the system and life. Things not only can change, everything is in fact in a constant state of change whether we are conscious of it or not.
10. We can always change our perception on how we view any situation.
11. We are not to blame, but we are responsible.
12. You can't change other people.
13. Suffering is caused by clinging and wanting things to be different than they are, not by a chemical imbalance. Let go, and if you can't let it go, let it be.
14. Frequently ask yourself, "If this were my last day alive, how would I live it?"
15. As with any "illness" regard it as your teacher, not as something to be hated.
Well... There is always a permenant solution for a permanent problem.
