The convergence of blockchain, IoT, and Machine learning will bring unprecedented data interoperability to the healthcare industry. This bridging of data silos can reveal important insights about human health and hopefully improve the process by which we take care of each other.
The future looks bright- convergence is happening. Convergence of health related data is happening. Machine-to-machine communication will allow different kinds of sensors to collect and manage physiological conditions in the body. It will require a vast amount of data to really build reliable machine learning systems to help drive this new era of health.
Required Data Types
- Digital Medical Records - Export data from electronic health records. Major companies include EPIC, Cerner, AthenaHealth.
- Imaging Files and Documents - Machine learning can scan images to find patterns a human doctor may not identify because of limited storage and recall capacity of a brain.
- Lab Test Results - Blood chemistry, tissue analysis, and protein composition measurements will eventually be done in real-time using tiny sensors in the body.
- Daily Communication - Talk and text data will be used to identify mental health and stress patterns
- Physical Activities - Wearable sensors detect general movement and exercise regimen.
- Genome Sequencing Data - The DNAs of individuals will provide a backbone for predictive models.
- Environmental Conditions - Temperature, weather, and pollutants will be collected for risk modeling.
- Consumption and Excretion Information - The inputs and outputs of the human body will be seamlessly collected.
All these types of data will be accessible via a distributed public ledger. A human will have a complete picture of themselves throughout history. Just as our scars remind us of painful experiences, a blockchain transaction will remind us of the factors which have interacted with our bodies.
All of this being said, it will take clever design work by system developers to create tools that interact seamlessly with us humans. Otherwise, it will never be adopted by healthcare professionals.

I think Healthcare will integrate with blockchain technology sooner than we think but it's going to happen without much of the publics knowledge
