Banana is a perfect base to make creamy, healthy and super yummy vegan ice cream.
It is 100% natural, 100% refined sugar-free, dairy-free, fat-free and gluten-free. Isn't it awesome?
Banana Nice Cream recipe:
Cut the bananas in 2-3 inch pieces and put them in the freezer for at least 5 - 6 hours.
Add the frozen pieces to a blender with 1/4 cup of plant-based milk and blend it until it becomes creamy. You can add a little more plant-based milk if it's not creamy enough. Add 1/2 tbsp spirulina powder, 1/4 tsp vanilla extract and a pinch of cinnamon.
I always top it with different kind of fruits and nuts, so I can never get bored of it. This time I put some raspberries, pineapple cubes, chopped pecans and puffed amaranth on the top. It was extremely yummy!!!
A good tip: Always keep a bunch of sliced bananas in your freezer so you can have fresh ice cream anytime you want.
I hope you enjoy my recipe and I gave you some inspiration to switch from the regular sugary ice creams to this quick and healthy version :) It is perfect for breakfast or as a dessert.
Never heard about Spirulina. Is it easy to buy somewhere because I really want to make this recipe!
Spirulina powder is sold in mostly every bio shops. It is extremely healthy and a great source of protein. But you can do this recipe without it, too, as it doesn't give any falvour to the ice cream. I just used it because it's healthy and I like how green the ice cream became because of it :)
I love my friend a lot, the colors are beautiful and for sure the taste is incredible. Always thanks for sharing your recipes
Very good your recipe the banana ice cream is very rich, I love the color of the ice cream that you placed to have that color?
Spirulina powder makes it green :)
ice cream is very tasty and certainly free of preservatives.
Exactly :) The healthiest ice cream ever!
Hi, I really like your blog, it's incredible the recipes, it's good that you share them. The ice cream looks amazing @plantbasedmiri
Thank you so much my Dear, I'm glad you like my recipes :)
I like the mint green colour of it, very unusual. Times ago I kept shrimps as pets and fed them with spirulina sometimes. I never thought about to eat it myself 😄 Thanks for the inspiration :)
You are very welcome! Actually, spirulina is extremely healthy and a great source of protein, as well. I love it :)
Fresh and fruity
I like it
I've tried to make nice Cream but I haven't got the hang of it. I should try to make this, looks really good :)
Really? I simply can't stop eating it :D I do it quite often. I really like it
I need to try a few more recipes. Tried one with cocoa and did not like it. Might be the texture or something :D.
