I would like to point out some common symptoms that are usually ignored by people in everyday life. Most of these symptoms are due to the current lifestyle of people.
- CHEST PAIN
It’s the most common symptom of heart attack. Yet many people don’t realize it could be an emergency issue. If the pain is described as the heaviness, tightness or pressure it’s a heart attack. People often describe it as elephant sitting on chest. - NAUSEA AND STOMACH PAIN
Not every nausea equals a heart attack but if you are getting intense pain during nausea or intense pain in the stomach, it might be a heart attack. Women are more likely to experience this symptom than men. - PAIN IN ARMS
Arm pain can also be associated with heart attack, if the pain is going down the arm, especially left arm, or into the neck. - FEELING SICK OR DIZZY
It can happen because of not eating or drinking enough. But if you feel unsteady and you also have chest discomfort or shortness of breath, you need to visit doctor. - JAW OR THROAT PAIN
Jaw or throat pain is more likely to be caused by cold or sinus problem. It is a sign of heat attack if the pain or pressure is at the center of your chest and it spreads up into your throat. - FEELING FATIGUED
If you are tired because of working long hours or staying up late, it’s probably not your heart. But you experience extreme exhaustion or unexplained weakness, sometimes for days, it can be a due to heart disease. - SWEATING
sweaty after working out in a gym or it’s a really hot day is nothing to worry about. But feeling unreasonable sweaty is a sign of heart disease. - SNORING OR CHOCKING
It’s normal to snore a little while sleeping. But unusually loud noise of snoring that sounds like choking or grasping is a sign of sleep apnea. It happens when you stop breathing for short intervals during sleep. - SWOLLEN ANKLES, LEGS OR FEET
If the swollen part of body gets really big, it should not be ignored as it can be a sign that the heart doesn’t pump blood as effectively as it should. - IRREGULAR HEARTBEAT
It’s normal for your heart to beat faster when you are nervous or excited or working out. If your heart is beating very fast and jumping around then you should seek a doctor. Mostly, it’s caused by something easy to fix like too much caffeine or not enough sleep.
