what is Fluoride ?

Fluoride is a mineral that occurs naturally in water sources, makes teeth stronger and more resistant to cavity-forming acids.

Benefits of using :

  • Fluoride can greatly help dental health by strengthening the tooth enamel.

  • It also reduces the amount of acid that the bacteria on your teeth produce.

Is fluoride safe ?

  • By having fluoride in toothpaste it gives best protection in all ages .

  • It helps us to prevent from tooth decay .

Fluoride is good for health, to have good health, you need healthy teeth :)

As discussed it helps us to prevent from tooth decay . But there is no scientifically valid evidence to show that fluoride causes cancer, kidney disease or diseases.

Let's us discuss some facts :

  • Drinking fluoridated water has not been shown to cause conditions like thyroid , kidney failure .

  • only proven risk associated with excess fluoride is a cosmetic condition known as dental fluorosis.

Common questions about Fluoride

Fluoride in water doesn't cause Fluorosis

  • Fluorosis occurs when young children get too much fluoride, over an extended period of time, while their teeth are still growing under the gums.

" Toothpaste contains more Fluoride than Water "

Fluoridated water is safe for babies

Fluoride is an important mineral for everyone, especially children.

We all have bacteria in mouth and that produces acid in mouth . It is too dangerous for teeth , by using toothpaste it helps from that danger .

Ingredients inside tooth paste :

  • Fluoride , foam , Tartar control , Desensitizers & Tartar control.

Before invention of Toothpaste

Before introduction of tooth paste we used to brush teeth by using Neem sticks in India . I don't know about other countries with what type of sticks they used to do.

I don't like your post, because:

  • Fluoride is used as a rat poison
  • Fluoride can cause arthritis, diabetes, thyroid disease, kidney disease.
  • There are indications that fluoride is a neurobiological nerve poison.

There are many studies that prove this.
There are also many people affected by it.

Please rethink your post and and research more carefully when writing in the category health.

it's always about how much. to take the example of radioactivity see https://xkcd.com/radiation/. please provide quantities necessary for these conditions and the quantities present in water to give a honest image about this. mind that too low quantities of certain elements can be just as dangerous, so just saying something can cause something is not enough. just being careful seems common sense, but can actually cause more damage. everything becomes a poison at a certain quantity, so you can have this argument about anything.

Yes the fluoride in toothpaste is fine, but continuously drinking it in water over a long period of time can have impact on health. It is also known to build up on the pineal gland and reduce peoples capacity to take action or subdue them in a way, albeit unconsciously as it is a slow and unnoticeable effect which builds up.

I am somewhat agnostic about flouride in toothpaste but agree it has absolutely not place being added to our water supplies.
Especially with the IQ lower effect on children that is observed in studies done outside of the US.

Flouride added to water is a industrial waste product of the potash industry and is completely different the the type of flouride used in toothpaste.

Flouride is still used in the water in my country but banned from 90 per cent of europeans products due to adverse health effects. Even in our country they are making studies with the aim of banning it from consumption.

Flouride is a neurotoxin. In the same way that I would prefer not to eat foods sprayed with carcinogenic chemicals (regarldless of how low the levels of the chemical are in the food when I eat it), I would prefer not to have neurotoxins added to my water or toothpaste.

Why you would promote the stuff is beyond me.

You can say that the levels are safe as much as you want but why on earth would you ingest anything, even in tiny amounts, that you know is harmful when there is absolutley no need for you to do so?

Should You Use a Fluoride-Free Toothpaste?

Yes.

regardless of how low the levels: your body has a certain need of otherwise toxic elements. in low enough doses something can be required instead of dangerous. "it's too few to be dangerous" is one side of the story. "I don't get what I need because I fear everything" is another one. I applaud your caution and I think that good research is important, by all means, but causing fear in people and strictly avoiding can do more ill than good, and I hope you don't go that way either.

Our bodies have no need for an external source of Flouride. We already have calcium flouride in our bones in doses that are obviously safe and normal. Why would you possibly want to ingest a known neurotoxin in even the smallest dose if you do not need to? For years we have been told that Flouride reduces cavities etc but even that idea is starting to be proved wrong.

I agree that the body does require low levels of some elements that are considered toxic in high doses but I don't think Flouride is one of them. The flouride added to water and toothpaste is a industrial waste product I believe. Like I said before, I don't want to ingest anything, even in small doses that have no reason to be in my food/water and have been proven to cause harm.

Like you say, research is important and if people look into the history of Flouride, what we've been led to believe about it for decades and the reasons it started to be added to our toothpaste and food, I think more people would demand it was removed from water supplies and toothpaste because it has no real benefit at all and certainly not enough of a benefit to justify the daily ingestion of a neurotoxin.
