Calamansi or Kalamansi is a fruit found in the tropics of Southeast Asia.
It is round, green in color and sour in taste. This is used as a condiment in my country, the Philippines. It is added to soups and viands to give a sour taste
It is perfect to use as a marinade to eliminate the foul smell and taste of meats such as fish, chicken, pork, beef and other meats. It is also used as a dip combined with fish sauce or soy sauce.
Calamansi belongs to the citrus family. It is best used in its almost ripe stage. It also has medicinal benefits. When I was a child my parents make me calamansi juice made from kalamansi zest, sugar, and lukewarm water. It is very rich in vitamin C.
Calamansi is a small but versatile fruit.

it is laso called Philippines lemon. it belongs to the citrus family
