Nitrogen is important in plant growth and is very essential for all proteins. Nitrogen promotes chlorophyll formation and the synthesis of carbohydrates. High nitrogen application leads to luxiririant and unstable crops while low nitrogen applications leads to pale, yellow or light green colored crops.
Excess application of nitrogen to plants is not good also as it leads to tall and slender stems susceptible to lodging and poor yields from crops. To maintain a wonderful farm and crops growth, it is advisable to apply the nitrogen to the plants but to also ensure that it is added moderately and not in excess or minimal.
