Corn season is here... π π π π i have to explore it while it last.... π π So today we bring you Beans and corn π½ porridge.. ππ
Adalu (Nigerian Beans and corn Porridge) is a delicious traditional Nigerian food, also known as ''Ewa ati Agbado''(yoruba) and ''agwa na oka''(igbo).
It a combination of beans and π½ to make a porridge..... Let's start cooking....
NB: It all depends on how soft you want the corn to be in your beans, but not too soft
INGREDIENTS
1 CUP OF BEANS
SMOKED MACKEREL
PALM OIL
CRAY FISH
TOMATOES
OIL
ATA RODO ( SCOTCH BONNET PEPPER)
BLACK PEPPER
PAPRIKA
SALT
SEASONING CUBE
CRAYFISH
WATER
Procedure:
Chop tomatoes, pepper, onion & flake the fish, remove corn from cob
Wash beans properly, add corn & beans to separate pots and cook till its a bit soft, strain the beans & corn then add to pot, add your chopped onions, pepper & tomatoes, add black pepper, paprika, salt, crayfish & fish, seasoning cube, combine together add water cover & cook for sometime.
Make sure it's softer than before add oil and cook a bit for few minutes then stir together
