Hello World: Hive edition

in #hello4 years ago

An unfortunate thing happened today, and after doing some research, I've decided to move my blog over to Hive. I'm surprised that more crypto-related projects haven't done the same. Medium seems to be the top choice. It has a decent interface, has a broad community offering wide exposure, but today I saw this when I visited their site:

medium account violation

I'm not sure exactly which rule I violated. They don't tell you. They don't notify you that the content is no longer available, and it seems to fully automated.

I did get my account re-activated, but I realized that if I continue to use Medium I don't own my content, they do. What if they had deleted everything? Articles that I spent hours writing could be lost. I have half a dozen nearly complete draft posts on their site.

So, Hello Hive 👋

I'm excited to be here. I'll start moving my posts over as time permits.

Hello @blockpane that's unfortunate that medium did that to you! This is @macchiata from @OCD team. We saw that you already posted your first post here in Hive! Congratulations and welcome! However, it would be awesome if you do an introduction post. Something more than this one.

As a sample of what an intro post is, you can refer to this intro post for reference:

Keeping Up With the Buzz - My Introduction to the Hive Community

There's no specific format on how you do your intro post, but there is some suggested content that we would love to see in your post. Information like who are you and where you're from, how did you discover Hive or who invited you, what types of content you want to see here and the types that you want to produce, and what are your expectations in this platform. There's no pressure on this. You can choose whatever information you would like to share.

You can tag me @macchiata on your intro post if you decided to make one.
