Another beautiful day of learning

HELLO STEEMIT COMMUNITY ONCE AGAIN!!!!! I just wanted to post a couple photos of the chairs that I have been doing. Upholstery is truly a form of therapy for me. Please understand i have no worse feeling knowing how treacherous the human consumption for wood has grown overtime. But i am proud to say that the MAJORITY of the wood that my factory uses is some of the finest reinforced recyclable wood they can find. I honestly have a vision in my mind that one day i will either cooperate with a business or start one myself where, now stick with me here, TRAINED and EXPERIENCED upholsterers will supervise two or three individuals whom are either troubled youth or incarcerated youth whom have earned a chance to go out and work an honest days work keeping their mentality safe and their hands busy to prevent bad habits from festering. Simultaneously teaching a dying skill to many. Now think for a moment how this could be MULTI-beneficial. Trainers will be paid for the production carried out by not just one but three to four individuals per cell maximizing production VS paid labor due to the fact that the majority of the product is produced by those whom are in the position to build furniture as a PRIVILEGE. But most importantly rehabilitating ones troubled position and instilling in them a skill and an ability to take them further than they could ever imagine. TIME and TIME again it has been proven that when we as empathetic creatures seek out joy and acceptance. And if we could instill that in just a small group of the troubled youth it could have a monumental difference in the near and distant future. Instead of shoving them in a small rape camp full of fear and anxiety with mind crippling social interactions, we can put the youth to productive activity that could alter the way they perceive this reality, further expand their possibilities because they KNOW that there is always a better option than to return to what poisons us the most. Our selfish addictions that separate us from ourselves as well as everyone else. We will always chose the path of least resistance. As always, thank you all for your time, i love you all! 0501171007.jpg0501171008.jpg0501171008a.jpg0501171008b.jpg0501171008c.jpg0501171008d.jpg0501171009.jpg
