Nature has been very harsh with Nepal recently. After the devastating earthquake, it has been raining very heavily in some parts of Nepal, mostly the terai regions. Floods and landslides are triggered by heavy rain since last week. The Torrential rain from 10 August 2017, has caused widespread flooding and landslides in Nepal. Death tolls reached 91 persons and displaced tens of thousands of people across the country. The monsoon rain has wreaked havoc since Friday in districts spanning the eastern, central and western parts of Nepal.
It happens almost every year in Nepal. Hundreds and thousands are displaced from their home. These conditions could be avoided if properly managed and be prepared but due to lack of proper awareness and lack of management programs and most importantly the political reason these mistakes take place repeatedly every season.
There are some big river dams that are made by the government of India in Nepal. The river flows from Nepal to India. Those dams were made to regulate the water force from the river in both the countries. But since the Indian government built those dams the key and power to control the dam is with the Indian government. Every year the Nepal government begs to control the water force and regulate the flood but Indian government delays this request, therefore it's always late so People of Nepal needs to suffer.
There might be lots of official procedures that can’t be done very quickly, but in the time of the emergency government of India need to think about humanity, needs to think about those helpless people.
Lots of people suffered this year; hope this doesn’t happen from next year. We hope Indian government thinks differently from next time, we hope Nepal government will control the situation and takes proper steps to avoid this kind of situation from next time.
P.S. I didn’t mean to say anything bad about the Indians, I was just trying to point out the wrong thing being done by the Indian government.
May all the departed souls rest in peace, and all the suffered people get proper help from all the people from all over the world.
