Having Issues and I Give Up.
I am writing this out of frustration. I upload to D.Tube regularly and for two days I have been unable to. I don't know if I am the only one having this issue, but wow is it frustrating.
Literally about 30% of the way into my upload the process halts and I get a IPFS uploading error.
Any ideas?
Things I have tried already:
- Switching Browsers
- Resetting my Computer
- Switching Networks
- Waiting
- Threatening My Computer with physical violence
So please any ideas would be helpful as I would like to upload some of my recent work to d.tube today.

I think it is the encoding.
I tried uploading with one of my videos that I downloaded from YT instead of the video I uploaded to YT. I know there is another solution using Handbrake but this was easier for me, maybe you too.

I was trying to upload videos as well, not very long videos, just some of me and my dad out at the shooting range but I was experiencing the same problems. I tried each of the 5 steps that you tried with added emphasis on #5. Have you contacted Lifttheveil? I know he uploads pretty regularly and maybe he has figured something out.
Try to disable all browser addons / extinctions if you have

Have you tried uploading a different video to see if maybe the one previously was corrupted? Enough Steem to post? Log out & back into Dtube? Video format one that is compatible? Just some ideas :)

Me too. It keeps saying failed. I upload .mp4 files, the same that I upload to youtube. They are created with Premier Pro using the proper H.264 codec for Youtube with 1080p and 8mps bitrate. This is all standard stuff for youtube and many other platforms.
On DTube it seems to open with the upload option and starts to auto play in browser while uploading (I think that's normal) and then after a few seconds it fails and the browser tab crashes and asks to reload.
So....? anyone have an answer to this?
I have the same problem. I can log in on steemit with user name and that super long password but this is only for post like on WordPress and when I go to dtube to log in to post a video it says "error!" I use Brave and even tried chrome. Totally useless! So unless someone from DTUBE can fix this problem I am outta here!Also there is NO PLACE to ask anyone in admin. Very annoying!

Having the same issue. Have the devs abandoned us? These blockchain platforms and STEEM seem perfect for mass adoption, already having a use case, but if I can't upload it's all a waste of time I guess.

Yea it does happen, I had to upload one last night too, but couldn't get through, I lost the excitement to post the video, I don't know what's up with it
Recently I had an issues with Steemit as well which was confirmed by everyone on steemit having the same issues. It could have spreaded or be related with your problems. I couldn’t even upvote any post. It getting better though.
i think it server problem that will get solved soon ! sometime problem accur in server !
In which format the files you try to load?
Maybe try to use different format
mp4 same as always, it is not even a large file comparatively to some other projects I have uploaded.

I Think it would be better to upload on youtube rather than DTube, because dtube charges commission from your payout, so it would always better and easy to upload on Dtube :)
I have been having this problem constantly with Dtube. I thought it was just because I had bad internet though. Hopefully this is something that the devs can get fixed, but I am glad you found something temporary
DTube playback is terrible... Videos are virtually unwatchable as I just tried to view the Morphonios "Catching pedos on Facebook" link that is on your homepage. Very frustrating!
