The correct answer is d, which happens to also be the first line of the blue paper. A blue paper, by definition, "sets out technical specifications of a technology or item of equipment." (Wikipedia). The steem blue paper introduces and summarizes important aspects of the steem block chain such as its associated tokens, the reward pool, and concepts like 'proof of stake' and 'proof of brain.' It can be viewed anytime by clicking on the menu icon in the upper right corner of the steemit web page and selecting 'Steem BluePaper.'
I think it is D.
From my understanding the bluepaper designed to be a sort of a guide to explain the protocol in simple terms to the widest range of people.
So I guess "A protocol for enabling smart, social currency for publishers and content businesses across the internet" is a good enough definition :)
