I've had this great curiosity of late of my family heritage. As many of you know that in the America's not long ago the indigenous peoples were deliberately separated from their heritage, but some stayed in touch and not forgotten. Many have been mentally conditioned not to recognise such, in many cases, a rich beautiful heritage, but prefer to only acknowledge only their European, Celtic, or Asian(in some cases) heritage no matter how it came about, good or bad.
There is nothing wrong with having a mixed blood or social heritage from other places besides the Americas, Asia, Africa, Pacifica peoples, etc because we have all been found to be sinners in some way or other. Everywhere you'll find good hearted and evil hearted people. However, this sin doesn't justify putting down or hating on your non-European, Anglo, or Celtic side either.
Anyhow, I said this because in my case I want everyone to know that the #Muskogee varied people still exist today of which some have traditional indigenous names, but more have English and European sir names, including a few with Spanish names( yes, also European). The Muskogee(Mvskokee) language/heritage groups would include the Alabama(Alabaamu), #Coushatta (Koasati), Choctaw(Chatah), Chickasaw(Chikasha), Euchee, MIkasuke(Spanish derogatory name "Seminole" meaning 'Renegade' or 'Wild') and several others with only some variation in dialect.
Just of note, but not limited to the Dine( pronounced similar to Dee-nay) of which the Spaniards' derogatory label was Navajo(roughly means 'enemy stranger which works in the fields'), and Ndee(but #Apache given by the Spanish meaning 'enemy stranger') are still here, too. Some of the names you might have heard of, please ask them what their original tribe, nation, clan name really is. Some still call themselves by the derogatory label given them by the European or English colonists.
Most Mexicans, for example, which have such #indigenous heritage, although speak Spanish(of some sort) it seems are still afraid, embarrassed, or don't know today in this 21st century to acknowledge their Aztec, Mayan, Tepehuan, etc indigenous heritage. One other point though: God bless them; India(or Hindustan) which has its beauty, we are not Indians.
