Description

A relatively small frog (40-51 mm) Known as a burrower they are frequently found on forest boundaries, elevated scrub and heath-lands. It breeds by direct development, where eggs hatch into fully grown frogs with no developmental tadpole stage. Generally not found around water, they do not survive in disturbed habitat.

Range

Occurs only on the southern slopes of The Cape Fold Mountains, South Africa.
