Hi There
So steemit was introduced to me by this mad German dude...he was a bit mad and i was honestly a bit apprehensive about the whole thing but he decided that it be a good idea to open his lap top, following by opening his steemit... 
When i saw this it was a mmm moment, but the more he explained it the more i became sucked it to the whole concept, im not lying when i say that this is pretty cool and the whole concept is fantastic, people who have opinions can now really make a difference all while possibly making money, the more people like your opinion and the more peeps like you the more sway you have....it is much better than hoping all your friends like you post on facebook or whatever... this just me saying hi to all yo steemers.
