Up the summit somewhere on the East side of Oahu, we hiked. It was so over-grown and steep but that's usually the norm around here. Scared?! I was beyond scared. Petrified! But it comes with the territory. Yes, to the right is a sheer drop to your death if anyone of us fall. But we made it. Can you find us?

Who took the picture? My friend did something similar when he lived on the island one summer in college. He and his crazy friend were scaling roots at one point. I'll stick to hiking where I don't risk death, thank you. One hell of a picture though. I'd like to stargaze from a campsite up there. Probably roll off in my sleep.
Yeah! It was crazy time. That hike is about 1.5 year ago. I slowed down a lot. We had some hiker friends passed. Now I just do super easy leisure ones.
My idea of getting risky is hiking in a desert for a few days :)
That sounds super fun. My hiking crew is all about hiking up the summit, then camp out up there for the weekend. Unfortunately I'm too out of shape to climb super steep for several hours with camping gears. I'm working on it.
I haven't even been out for a few years now thanks to two minor surgeries and then a new job and city. Takes too long to get anywhere good too. If I don't get out soon I will probably go insane. I've felt the call for some time now.
Another hiker. There's 3 total that morning
Looks as sketchy as kalalau
Hi. I'm horrible with names and directions. Where is kalalau?
Kauai
Wow, what a wonderful experience! Excellent shot.
Thank u much. A friend took that shot. I'm the second climber in this photo. Yes, I learned so much through hiking. Especially learning to trust other's guidance when you can't see where your next step should be. Aloha!
Yea, I would have a hard time trusting others with my life lol.
Amazing photo!
Thank u but I think good photos are easy because nature does all the work already. Aloha!
Oh gotcha. Have a wonderful day. Aloha!
Wow that looks super scary but beautiful at the same time!
Yes it was indeed but I don't do that anymore. Now I prefer short leisure hikes and then share it here on Steemit. Aloha!
