I spent almost every weekend there for two years when I was climbing regularly. It is a gorgeous area.

Yeah, its addictive Im already thinking i might go back before the week ends. I went this last time purposely during a big storm to test my AT gear. Now, I want to go during nice weather lol

That tree was beautiful with the fungus on the side!

You didn't go full Bear Grylls and roast the snake, but I'm impressed that you were brave enough to take a picture. I love snakes, but they elicit such a strong emotion of fear in many people.

Hope the turtle left you with all of your toes!

Hi @katecloud (I don't think you ever had a chance to respond to my previous email) and you are not in steemit chat (that I could see) but I wondered if you would enter my tattoo contest. I'm getting a tattoo of the steemit logo, but would like it stylized in a way to make it look even cooler. Design My Steemit Tattoo Contest and you can win 25% of the steem dollars. Again sorry about posting here in your comments, but I thought you might really enjoy showcasing your talents and I have opened the contest to a few tattoo artists locally as well. I'm excited to see what I will wear forever. Maybe it will be your artwork ☺

Super! Beautiful route.

Wow, looks amazing. That snake's a bit scary- they're poisones right?

Yes, but not deadly...well, I guess they can be. Any-ways that was just a baby I didnt see any big ones. Thank goodness😉

Tennessee is the greenest state in the land of the free.

Nice trip @katecloud i like the turtle..:)

Hello @katecloud, seems that you have a happy life. A traveler has a happy life, not only that they are also healthy because going to places like this, you can inhale clean oxygen that helps in eliminating bad body elements.

Nice, upvote!

I hope you had a cot, the ground under the tent doesn't look very comfortable.

Thanks for the post.

Sleeping pad...worked great!😉

Beautiful! My heart is aching for me to hit a trail. Thanks for introducing this one to me. I'll have to try to get down that way. It's now on my to-do list. How many days do you think it would take to do the entire trail?

Depends ...for an experienced hiker Id say 2 days one each way, and one night of camp. However, if you'd like to play around and have some down time Id recommend 3 days 2 nights.

Awesome! Thanks!
