Intriguing discovery

in #hiking7 years ago

While hiking through the forest in the Eastern Cape we happened upon a strange ovoid sphere in the dead branches of a fallen tree.

Turns out on closer inspection to be an ant nest.

It has the most intruiging design.

From the looks of the construction it was built in the dead branches after the tree fell to the ground.

That's cute.

Oh, my God. for the first time i am seeing that ants have a nest. lol. it is amazing. anyway, i am wounder to the union of the ants and their strength. they have a big community, and i am sure some of them will be the army, some will perform the duty of labour. they will have a king or a queen. :)

the queen is their slave

the interesting of the ants is the togetherness that is awake, if humans also so must be very fun, success is always post @mandela greeting from indonesia.

Termites no doubt. What an interesting species to make something like this.

wonderfull discovery

It's something amazing.

The ant is not great, but it digs mountains.

Usually, ants do their nest underground.

Perhaps you discovered a new species. You should send the pictures to an insectologist.

wow so nice ! I want more pictures with better resolution please. That is super interesting
