North Coast Trail and Cape Scott provincial park (part.1)

The North Coast Trail is on the north end of Vancouver Island. Dropped off at Shushartie bay by an hour and a half ride from a water taxi from Port Hardy.

Our adventure on the North coast trail was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. It's so wild and remote. Less travelled than the West Coast Trail.

Right off the boat there were some awesome rope sections that took us #climbing right into the rainforest, past the Shushartie camping area.

The first day of hiking was pretty rugged and had a seemingly never ending bog, with muddy sections that were knee deep in areas.

There were boardwalks to walk on throughout the boggyness. We stopped in the forested sections for short water breaks and snacks.

After 8 hours of hiking it was so relieving to arrive at the beach to set up our camp. We were so bagged by that time!

The beach was covered in beautiful purple flowers. We slept well.
