One of Philippines Pride and Our Beautiful Town Pakil Laguna.

Good Day Steemians! I have article for you guys about in my home town Pakil, Laguna.

This is the original image of Our lady of Sorrow of Turumba. It is said to have been caught by a group of a fisherman while its strangely stays float in the Laguna Bay. The miraculous painting is kept in a prayer room in Pakil Church.

This is the picture of Sto Nino of Pakil on "Salibanda Festival". (Salibanda means Shower of Blessing) Here in Pakil we celebrating fiestas's in honor of Patron Saints. This is our way of giving thanks for all the good things in life.

This is the photo in front of church in pakil while celebrating Salibanda Festival. In this festival we use red Tshirt because its symbolize love and sharing.

And Also Pakil have a longest religious festival in the Philippines.

We celebrate 7times on March-May

  • 1st Lupi or Biernes Dolores falls on the Friday preceding Palm Sunday.

  • 2nd Lupi or Pistang Martes falls on Tuesday following Easter Sunday

  • 3rd Lupi or Pistang Biyatiko falls on the 2nd Wednesday after Easter Sunday.

  • 4th Lupi or Pistang Biyernes falls on the 3rd Friday after Easter Sunday.

  • 5th Lupi or Pistang Linggo falls on the 4th Sunday after Easter Sunday.

  • 6th Lupi or Feast of the Ascension falls on the 5th Sunday after Easter.

  • 7th Lupi or Feast of the Holy Spirit falls on the Sunday of Pentecost.

    In the Mt. Ping-as we have a belief that if you climb to the top and pray solemnly that you feel well and if you have a disease it will be healed.

    In the top of Mt. Ping-as you can see this big boulder of rock where the face of Mama Mary was carved.

    Also, have a Sto nino , Statue of Mama Mary and Papa Jesus.

    This is the view over Mt Ping as you can see the town of the Pakil and the beautiful landscape of Laguna Lake.

    This is Nuestra Señora delos Dolores de Turumba Swimming Pool.
    The people of pakil believe that the water coming from the spring can heal people if you a have faith.
    The water is came from the mountain tops of the Sierra Madre.

    Near the waterway there is also a statue of Sto nino.
