remember when we kids in 70's and early 80's and went to the drive in theater . my home town had 2 they were just out side of edge of town 20 min drive away.bring whole family pile into the family car either listen to movie thru your car stereo or on post speaker that hooked onto your window for mono sound. cheap affordable concessions and could stay all night watch 5 movies in a row for 3.25. kids would sneak in or hide in trunk of a car. what killed drive in at the time was VCR when home movies came out for rental this was the life blood of drive ins getting older films and replaying them.
now this came in and it faded the business out.
end of an era . don't know how many drive ins are left out there but they are not to common now.
this one was in my home town closed in 1984-85 the drive in and snack bar is still there all grown up in weeds and forest just grew over where speakers were find metal poles next to trees.
Drive Ins were classic.
