Narkomovskie 100 gr. 1941 year.

in #history7 years ago

August 22, 1941, this experience of the Finnish war decided to revive - T-bills passed resolution No. 562, according to which since September 1, 100 gr. Vodka was given out to all fighters and commanders of the first, or front line. The order of issue was determined by the order of the People's Commissar of Defense No. 0320 of August 25, 1941, for the direct distribution of vodka was already answered by the commanders of the fronts. Of course, they did not forget the Air Force pilots performing combat missions - they were supposed to have the same 100 grams of vodka, as well as the technical link of the field airfields (vehicles, gunsmiths, mechanics).

Vodka at that time was considered as a stimulant and a warming agent in the cold season. Spring came in 1942, and decided to reduce the norm of vodka. Stalin was laid down on the table with a document in which the vodka was continued to be issued only on the front line and only to those who had "combat successes", i.e. Vodka was planned to be made as "reward" and stimulating to military feats.

At the same time, the rate of vodka was proposed to increase to 200 g. But comrade. Stalin, with his famous pencil of red, crossed out "200 gr", and wrote "100 gr." What are the reasons for this decision? I suppose that probably the leader was well aware of what is happening in the active army (YES) with losses in manpower and with vodka relying on it. For example, when the losses of the advancing unit reached 50% per day (a very common case), and vodka was received at the rate, by 100% of the fighters. No one back superfluous vodka, certainly did not hand over, the surviving commanders and Red Army men drank elementary.
