The Yalta Conference, Three Great Power Agreements

Yalta Conference, (February 4–11, 1945), major World War II conference of the three chief Allied leaders, President Franklin D. Roosevelt of the United States, Prime Minister Winston Churchill of Great Britain, and Leader Joseph Stalin of the Soviet Union, which met at Yalta in Crimea to plan the final defeat and occupation of Nazi Germany. The three leaders of the great country are widely known as "The Big Tree".


This conference is sometimes referred to as a conference in which "Western Allies betray or sell Europe to the Soviet Union".

The Yalta Conference produced the main agreement, namely as follows:

  1. Plans for unconditional German surrender. German occupation will be controlled by the United States, Britain, France and the Soviet Union.
  2. The plan of the UN formation conference in San Francisco on April 25, 1945.
  3. The Soviet Union's plan declared war on Japan after Germany's defeat with compensation for the provision of the South Sakhalin region, the Kuril Islands, and the return of Potr Arthur and Dairen to their original status in 1904. While the Manchurian railroad would be jointly controlled by China and the Soviet Union.
