The Unfinished Northern Pyramid of Zawyet El Aryan. Very few pictures exist of this site as it has been occupied by the Military from 1960s onwards and surrounded by a base. Since 1964 no excavations have been allowed, the original necropolis is overbuilt with military bungalows, and the shaft of the "Unfinished pyramid" (Looks nothing like a Pyramid) has been misused as a rubbish dump.
The floor is made from Granite for the most part, in the first sketch you can see some of the floor tiles are shaded. This indicates rose granite a different stone than regular granite. The closest place to the site to quarry rose granite is over 500 miles away on Elephantine Island.
By looking at a sketch of this site you can see that it is definitely not a pyramid. Perhaps it is an unfinished monument or it's meaning is simply lost to us. After all, the military has completely BANNED excavations, so we don't really know anything about it.
It's been stated that the oval structure is a sarcophagus, I haven't seen any other oval sarcophaguses, have you? People have proposed other uses for it but we can't be sure, we have not discovered any other sites like it.
It is dated by mainstream scholars to the early or the mid-4th Dynasty (2613–2494 BC) during the Old Kingdom period. Just tell me how you can dig 75 feet deep through solid limestone bedrock with copper chisels(They are useless after 50 strikes, and that is optimistic. Furthermore we have found virtually zero copper chisels in Egypt!) , and with such precision.
It's pretty crazy that the only photos I can find of this site are from 1910 or there abouts. With the outbreak of WWI all excavation was halted and to this day has not resumed.
Anyway, what a great place to dump your rubbish. People can be so unconscientious that it makes me sad.

I went down the rabbit hole on youtube and stumbled across it, I think a big problem is that a lot of people don't know things like this exist and actually don't care either. They don't have the tools to ask the right questions. We have to share knowledge and spark interest! :)
Do you know a lot about Egypt, or any other era in particular? I am not an expert in any sense and I am looking to learn more.
Again we have an example of something off-limit for the public. Something that might suggest that history as we know it is a blatant lie...
They should have done what Mao did in China and tear down as many ancient monuments as possible so we don't question the current state of affairs since we would have nothing to compare it to. /s
