Secret Underground Hospital used during World War 1
The first underground hospital that treats wounded soldiers during World War 1 was captured by a Parisian photographer and urban explorer Marc Askat during his search of world World War One remain.
Mr Askat, who lost two relatives in the Battle of Verdun, believes sites like this are vital in preserving our living history.
'Underground, France is full of historical material,' he said. 'But this place is the only one where so many remains are ##### still in the same place in a breath-taking state of preservation.
His roadmap is based on the journals written by the dead soldiers.
