On the road to New Mexico today I decided to pull over to the tourist trick known as "The Thing". When brought up among Arizona natives they laugh at the stupidity of the thought of pulling over for a gas station attraction. Not being from here I decided why the hell not? I wanted to know "The Mystery of the Desert"!
Upon arrival you realize how foolish the stop was and contemplate leaving but I'm also the man that will talk to the homeless for an hour or listen to "Flat-Earthers" just so I can have a story to tell, so here it is - "The Thing"!!!

Yup that's it. That's where your dollar went. Honestly I enjoyed the rest of the exhibit more. Please excuse the glare, it is a gas station attraction and was only a dollar but had some cool stuff.

This was by far my most favorite of the collection. This was worth the dollar to me!^
That's it. There was a lot of other cool stuff but these were the most interesting to me.
So what is "The Mystery of the Desert"? They want your dollar. Try not to spend $2.50 for a 20oz soda on the way out.
