Dubai: Emerging Capital City of The World

in #history7 years ago

We can debate over which is the most expensive city in the world or which city hosts more number of Immigrants and Expatriates but one thing we can all agree on is that Dubai is surely becoming the true Capital City of The World with all that it offers us. Future looks even more extravagant

Be it History,Culture,Traditions or Infrastructure This Emirate has it all and there's no stopping for its developments. This Small Beach City has something for everyone out there. The city is one of its type. dubaifood.jpg

Dubai does not enjoy enormous oil wealth as its neighbors such as Abu Dhabi or KSA. Its main source of wealth has historically been its port. Which is 9th busiest port in the world. Jabel Ali Port is located 35 km southwest of Dubai, in the Persian Gulf.Home to over 5,000 companies from 120 countries with 67 berths and a size of 134.68 square kilometers which surely is gigantic. jebel_terminal_main2_690_355_84_c1.jpg

In recent years it has sought to make money from Real Estate and Tourism, building impressive hotels one of which is the Historic Burj Al Arab Hotel being the third tallest hotel in the world standing in a man made island nothing less than a wonder in itself. Its shape resembles the sail of a ship giving it its own identity. Its famous Royal Suite is billed at 24K USD per night taking it to the Most Expensive hotels list in the world.burj-long.jpg

Nightlife here is nothing like it is in the rest of The Middle East. Like anything else the Emirate is famous for its nightlife too.It gives out hundreds of options to the beasts within us that stay awake at night to go out and unleash themselves.Whether its dressing up for a night at Dubai’s best night clubs or just a casual night out with some friends, there are plenty of party spots to pick from. shutterstock-234362962-4862.jpg

The UAE is home to over 200 nationalities.Local population constitute roughly 13% of the total population only , making UAE home to one of the world's highest percentage of immigrants.Dubai again doesn't stay behind and hosts largest number of expats in the country, UAE-Population-by-Nationality-Country-wise-2016.png

Having said all this The city could amaze you at any given day with surprise shopping discounts,Amazing city tours,Dessert Safaris,Cruise dinners and much more. A city surely to be visited more than once in our Lifetime.

Very interesting statistics and comparisons, @hananali. You seem to be off to a running start on STEEMIT!

I cannot imagine spending $24,000 to spend a night anywhere!

Thank you sir. Trying my best to do as good as I can, Appreciate your support big time.
And yes that's the famous Royal suite which is at mind boggling rates. That's alot of money for common people

When $24,000 for a night's lodging is no longer a lot of money to someone, then they have lost perspective of what money represents in the real world.

It IS a lot of money!

There are people who would spend it in a go, only 80 people had more than half the money in the world by 2015 , Imagine where they could be standing now? $24000 is peanuts for a lot of people, There should be balance among all the people . Its really sad when you see people who have nothing or very little to eat

I know placing a value on money is relative to how much you have and I have no problems with some people accumulating more than others. The big "however" is: If you work for money and earn it honestly, you should be both thankful and proud. However, if you were born into a family that happened to live in a place that also happened to have great riches deep underneath your land, you have nothing to be proud of because you earned nothing. Of course you may be thankful for your good fortune, but society should place no premium on your pride and fortunate location. That accident of location should not gain you anything.

The very tricky part is determining the proper balance between rich and poor. That process usually leads to blood being spilled.

A simple solution would be that no one can own wealth simply because it is underneath them; that should belong to the nation/state. Implementing that rule could be problematic, as would any rule taking wealth away from those who already have it.

i agree to your opinion, there should be some balance in distribution of wealth though. There shouldn't be no one keeping extravagant wealth for nothing, There should be a limit of wealth you can keep and the rest should be donated to the ones don't have anything ,
It look imaginary and tough but what if somehow this could be done? And we could see no one killing for money or food , We could have a peaceful world

Based on human history, if that political or social decision were made to forcefully redistribute wealth, it would result in about as much blood being shed than would be the lives saved by equalizing the wealth.

It is not an easy problem to solve or it would have been done long before now. I won't hold my breath. We will never have a peaceful world until we can eliminate the greed for power.
