RE: Captured By The Apache: The Amazing Role Of Women In The Tribe

Howdy today sir Glen! So you have to plant and maintain a garden too? Or is this a joint effort? Gardens are alot of work I think. that fencing situation sounds like work too though. lol. should be a fun summer for you, I think that's what you're saying. lol.
Too bad the refrigerator went out though, we rely on ours for the water dispenser for drinking water since it has the filter, is that what you do? And if you do, now what?

Sort:

The refrigerator that went out is an extra one we use for overflow purposes. Since we have our son, his very pregnant wife and our grand daughter all living with us, we're buying more food than we normally would for ourselves. So the back up fridge/freezer helps when we can't pack enough into the one in the kitchen.

That one does have a water filter, and we do use it to drink out of, though, that's not so much a concern here. It's just another layer, and since it's cool to use, why not?

I think my summer is going to start as soon as the weather turns for any length of time, which could be as early as next week. I'm supposed to be calling a guy about the gutters and possibly the fence, but I'm no day three of that task and haven't gotten around to it yet. :)

Oh I get it sir Glen! our internet connection went out for almost three hours today so I'm way behind on everything. Ok, got it about the refrigerator. Well it's good the main one didn't give out on you.

How long is your son and daughter-in-law staying there?
Is there a reason you're going to hire someone to do the gutters? Besides it being a pain in the neck dirty job?

I'm not even sure. As far as I know, she hasn't been up there to look. We cleaned it out pretty good a few years ago, so there's probably some accumulation, but we'd gone quite a few more years prior to that, so I don't know. It was mostly the stuff coming off of the shingles the last time.

She knows someone at work whose husband cleans gutters and builds fences, so she got the guy's number and now I'm supposed to call him. :)

re: son and family

We don't know. He's in the process of getting his master's in education, and he needs to do some student teaching for a term, and right now, he doesn't have anyone to do that with yet, so we're kind of on standby until he figures it out. Most likely, they'll be here through the end of the year, if he gets the student teaching position around here.
