I love vintage motorcycles! especially Harley Davidsons......a lot of history!
this one looks like an old WW2 model.......
even though it has disc brakes.....so it cant be 100% original! :-(
its still nice though!

Nice shot...I would talk some history: BMW was producing reliable shaft driven motorcycles that the US Military thought would be perfect for use in combat. One problem, BMW was a German company. So, to solve this problem, the Army told Harley Davidson to basically steal the German maker's designs and build a version for the US to use.
The result was a success but after the War Harley reverted to its chain drive ways. The WWII surplus bikes were popular after the War and many returning GIs snapped them up and hit the road.
It has been modified i believe but it is still very kickass!! It's owner must be proud of this beauty <3

It's is good that the enthusiasts keep these things around for us all to enjoy and well spotted with the disc brakes, surely they would have been drum brakes.
This model probably will be 70 years old, already a grandfather.
