Possible, but that would not explain why we found remains of human civilization in the direct vicinity to the pyramids with evidence of regular working "salary". There was a workmen's village where complete families were living and the male family members got "employed" during special seasons. There are lists of what they received as reward, written in papyri. But there is no single word about non-human beings.
