But, Its in the name so

in #historyyesterday

If I had a penny for every time someone tried to school me with “Hitler was a socialist,” I’d be swimming in cash these days. I mean, it’s exhausting—like yelling at a brick wall that keeps parroting the same tired line. But then I remember: why am I even shocked?

Most folks aren’t exactly history nerds, and online debates are less about facts and more about dunking on the other guy. Still, it’s wild how fast people latch onto whatever story fits their vibe. You know the playbook: “If my side did it, they didn’t mean to; if they meant to, they were tricked; if they weren’t tricked, it’s still not their fault.”

Look, it’s 2025—Google’s right there. Hitler’s rise was a masterclass in propaganda, a twisted game of fooling the masses into cheering for their own chains. Guy was a demagogue with skills, I’ll give him that—too bad propaganda’s more about smoke and mirrors than truth.

Here’s a little history nugget for you: the Führer didn’t just go after Jews; he had it out for Marxists, socialists, and union folks too. Called them trash and had them locked up or worse. Real “socialist” of him, right?

“But the name!” they'd say. “National Socialist—it’s right there!” Oh, bless your heart, let’s play that game then.

Remind me—who’s that Kim Jong Un dude running? Oh yeah, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. Nothing screams “democracy” like a family dynasty choking a country for 70 years.

It’s in the name, so it must be true, right? gtfoh.

Anyway

This whole “Hitler was a socialist” thing is a clown show. It’s not a gotcha for “the lefties” or some genius debate flex. It’s a lazy, half-baked talking point cooked up by some kid who’s spent too much time playing minecraft and favors 4chan.

Politicians in America play lip service to private property and free enterprise while trampling them, too. Hitler wanted a command economy with nominal private property but de facto government control including price controls, production quotas, and a mercantilist focus on the government's aims over those of the populace.

I've become black pilled politically. People talk to me about left wing, right wing, and all I see is a bird.

There's no honest actors on stage. All of them there to enrich themselves.

I'm convinced democracy is a ruse as well. The will of the people? That's joke.

America is a corporatocracy.

Politically, I tend to agree. Trump is not the great savior of peace and prosperity his supporters seem to believe. Neither is he the reincarnation of Hitler as his opponents assert. He is his own form of populist authoritarianism and economic ignorance. Meanwhile, the State continues to metastasize no matter who is the figurehead. Maybe DOGE will chemo away some of the tumor, maybe not, but it will grow regardless.

Hope is found outside the sphere of politics. Gray markets, black markets, crypto, homesteading, hell, maybe even communes if commies want to try that voluntarily. The Internet has been used as a tool of censorship, but it also broke the media monopoly of corporate propaganda. We have access to more primary sources documents, alternative analysis, and so forth like never before. Sure, there's a lot of chaff to window from the wheat, but for those willing to do the work, the benefits are incalculable.

When I saw that post in the political hive community I really wanted to write a comment to it. Your post does a much better job than I could have 😃

lol

I'm not trying to fight someone, but this "got ya" is sooooo dumb. I'm tired of it.

The list of those who were killed by the Nazis because of their socialist or communist worldview should also be sent to Elon Musk, who even rehashed this misinformation in a live talk with Alice Weidel (AfD). However, it seems pointless to take action against this inhuman thesis, as faith is stronger than common sense.

Elon has become immune to facts lately. He retweeted someone claiming that stalin, mao and hitler were not the "true bad guys" that it was the people. Something like that. He deleted it, I'm sure he got a phone call. But he is spreading a lot of misinfo.

Elon Musk is nothing more than a propagator of ideological theories of the South African apartheid regime and a manipulator on behalf of the untouchable elitist establishment.

People cling to the name argument like it’s some kind of checkmate. By that logic, Burger King is actual royalty

Makes sense if you don't think about it

hahaha gladly will avoid it
