Morocco is one of the countries of the Maghreb, located in the far north of Africa on the Mediterranean coast and the Atlantic Ocean, bordered to the north by the Mediterranean Sea and the Straits of Gibraltar, from the West Atlantic Ocean, from the south by Western Sahara, bordered by Algeria from the east and southeast.

Morocco celebrates its independence on 18 November. The heroic saga of its people against French colonialism in 1912 culminated in this day. France occupied Morocco to exploit its great wealth and the government took the occupation as an excuse to occupy Morocco. The Moroccan people then resisted by various means, such as issuing statements and reports in order to make the people aware of the damage of the occupation and its objectives. They also used weapons of resistance in all areas of Morocco and intensified the people of Morocco together to work to get rid of this occupation and remove the French soldiers from it. A policy of difference prevails, and issued an official decision of the Berber dynasty to divide the Moroccan people; but the Moroccan people did not accept this, and increased demonstrations in various regions of Morocco and stood up to the occupation.

In 1953, the French government overthrew King Mohamed V of Morocco to Madagascar and Kurska. He then called upon the occupation government to return King Mohammed V to Morocco in 1955. The Moroccans returned and received him in a great celebration by all the Moroccan people.

The most prominent Moroccan resistance fighters were Ahmad al-Hensali, Mouhi, and Hamou, who were in Casablanca. In northern Morocco, Abdelkrim Al-Khattabi was a fighter against the French Spaniards; however, the French soldiers arrested him and deported him to Egypt. Independence in January 11, 1944.
