If ever in East Tennessee one place you'll need to come to is Cade's Cove in the Great Smokey Mountains.
Cade's Cove is a one-way 11 mile loop road that you can either drive down or ride bicycles. There are several pull off spots to stop at so you can visit the historical churches and cabins:
Europeans first settled in the Cove around 1818 and by 1830 271 people lived there.
While driving the loop you are sure to see wild life:
A young bear ran out in front of us
A buck decided to take a very long stroll along the road in front of us
Cade's Cove is free to visit and in my opinion most beautiful in Fall. It's definitely a place to make memories!
Im very blessed to live close by
What a beautiful place! As you so eloquently put it, 'a place to make memories'!
