RE: Coffee, how I love thee

in #history7 years ago

Have you ever smelled coffee beans getting roasted? While I liked coffee before I smelled that, I was in love with coffee after. A small coffee shop had a roaster that would do 10 or 20 pound batches and the whole shop would smell so heavenly. Getting to know that process took my coffee appreciation to a whole new level!

Yes, it’s amazing. There used to be a beanery near me, and they had a lovely old fashioned industrial grinder. The aroma ranges from woody to skunky, depending on the bean. You cannot walk into one of those places (or a Starbucks, for that matter) without have everything you wear absorb the aroma.
