Based on Oral Inca tradition, the story from mouth to mouth is told that deep in the Amazon forest more precisely in the eastern region of Andes from Cusco, Peru there is Kingdom of Magis. This place is called Paititi: "The Lost City Of Gold" or the Lost City of Gold.
For years many explorers, treasure hunters, and archaeologists have been searching for this legendary city, but finding this mysterious place is not easy. The Amazon forest is a dangerous and unfriendly place. Starting from the cocaine trade, illegal logging and mining are also rampant in parts of Peru, and many explorers are shot when entering the place and never heard of his name. This is the reason why many people die when they do a search or to learn more about Paititi.

According to legend, Paititi was built by an Inca hero named Inkarri, who also founded the city of Cusco before he retreated to enter the forest after the Spanish conquerors arrived. When the Spaniards entered Cusco, they looted gold and silver, but they found only a small part of what was in the Inca capital. Original gold treasure never found. Inca hid it before the invaders came.
According to rumors there is a great gold treasure hidden in Paititi. In 2001, an Italian archaeologist named Mario Polia found a report from a missionary named Andres Lopez who was kept in the Vatican archives. In the document, dated in 1600 AD, Lopez explains in detail, a large city rich in gold, silver and jewelry, located in the middle of a tropical forest called Paititi by the natives. Lopez told the Pope about the discovery and the Vatican has kept Paititi's location secret for decades.

Ancient Map For Towards Paititi
A team from Finland and Bolivia investigated the Amazon for two years beginning in 2001. They found some interesting ruins near Riberalta in Bolivia containing fragments of Inca ceramics, but no gold or silver and gems in place.
In 2008, the state news agency Peru reported that the "archaeological stronghold" had been found in Kimbiri District and the district mayor stated that the location was a lost city. Meanwhile elsewhere, Mayor Guillermo Torres stated that it had found 430,000 square feet of ruins (40,000 square meters) near an area known as Lobo Tahuantinsuyo. The discovery is very interesting but experts are not sure that the place is a lost legendary city. And Paititi, the lost golden city remains a myth to this day

I want to believe the lost golden city exists 😛. Most of these treasures are "protected" in the name of myths, legends and fables.
