Man another brilliant slice of our mysterious history, although one that adds a whole new dimension to the words "wet lettuce"! :D Mind you ... actually scrap that, Id best not throw another salad themed joke into the mix!!
I think the clue to our history is in the interpretation and the encoding, it's my belief that these ancients cultures were far more advanced than science gives them credit for and as such there is much wisdom hidden in plain sight. It's how we learn to interpret and indeed cross reference these stories that's the important thing. At first glance they may appear fanciful to some but it's what's hidden behind the story that's the important thing ;)
In terms of Jesus Christ he was certainly real and extolled many virtues the hierarchical churh would rather forget, indeed what the Vatican have chosen to leave out of the bible is as important as what's included.
As always my friend another fantastic post .. so good to have you back doing what you do best! @tremendospercy The Master Of Mystery!!
Thanks for the kind words as ever my friend.
I'm certain the ancients were far more advanced than many could imagine, there is no way the Sumerian's and Egyptians appeared from nowhere in the highly advanced state academia would have us believe.
There was almost certainly a pre-flood possibly worldwide but more likely isolated highly advanced civilisation who's remnants attempted to re-educate the devastated masses in their civilisations knowledge after a extinction type event. As the elders died off the knowledge either died with them or was diluted over time.
There are many stories of 'teachers' from antiquity from many places around the globe as I know you're aware so I'm not surprised to see similar beliefs held by unconnected people's.
The time to interpret these myths into their historical truth is upon us, for too long we have been lied to by dogmatic religious institutions and morally corrupt political classes.
Hopefully the truth will out in our lifetimes buddy.
Thanks for your continuing support and friendship mate.
I agree with that point about Jesus and I think my dad would too. Dionysus also supposedly has parallels to Jesus. It is interesting to compare and contrast. My favorite contrast is between the Americas and the other continents, because supposedly they were seperated, but it does not make sense really!
Also, I am glad there are other research geeks out there like I who like to analyze ancient history and mythology, it is really one of my greatest passions and I post about it often!
The Tuatha de Danaan are super interesting, but I dunno if they have a bird person in their midst. They certainly have shape shifters tho!
As new religions form they've always used partial beliefs and mythologies from previous ones to ensure a smooth transition. Most are just control mechanisms put in place to control the populous. Christianity is the best example of this as many of the current 'beliefs' were decided upon 3 centuries of Christ's alledged death at the Council of Nicea.
