In Bangladesh, the importance of the court directive is more than the current historical data. Whatever happens in the black night of March 25, 1971, whatever the incident the court gave is the right history. The people of the country are compelled to accept it willingly or reluctantly.
Historically true and established information is that, on 25 March 1971, when the Pakistani occupation forces were killed by the Pakistani army, innocent and sleeping people were killed and destroyed, there was no protest or resistance from the then political leaders. And people were not ready for such a situation. As a result, without any obstruction and free fall, precious lives and many assets are destroyed. In such a situation, most of the Awami leaders went to India, along with their families, to trap the countrymen with death. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, a well-known Awami League leader, also willingly handed over to the Pakistani hands. On the night of March 26, at the time of this nation's crisis, Maj. Ziaur Rahman announced the independence of the thunder, Responding to his call, the countrymen jumped into the battlefield. The liberation war begins.
Another thing is noteworthy that Ziaur Rahman's name as the proclaimer of independence is not only written in the history books of the Liberation War of Bangladesh but also by the neighboring country India, Ziaur Rahman is recognized as the proclaimer of independence. Although the Awami League claimed that Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had declared independence, India refused to accept it.
Through history, it is known that the all-rounder of the Awami League, India's then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, did not recognize Sheikh Mujib as the proclaimer of independence. On November 6, 1971, Indira Gandhi said at a gathering of students and teachers of society and students of Columbia University in New York, - 'The cry for independence rose after Sheikh Mujib was arrested and not before. He himself, so far as I know, has not asked for independence even now. 'That means the call of freedom came after Sheikh Mujib was arrested, not before. According to my knowledge, he has not declared independence at any time.
Then, when Ziaur Rahman visited India on December 27, 1977, paying tribute to him, then Indian President Neelam Sanjeev Reddy said in a banquet hosted by him, 'Your position is already in the history of the history of your country as a brave fighter who was first to declare the independence of Bangladesh.Since you took over the government in your country, you have earned wide regard both in Bangladesh and abroad as a leader of the progress of your country and the well being of your people. - A brave freedom fighter and the first in Bangladesh's independence Sanadanakari already well-established as well as your status. After being in power, you have earned deep respect in Bangladesh and Bangladesh as a leader dedicated to national progress and public welfare.
