The Orient Express is the famous luxury luxury passenger train, the private company Orient-Express Hotels, which traveled between Paris and Constantinople since 1883. He is described in the novel Agatha Christie "Murder on the Orient Express." In the world there were only 2 trains launched in 1883. One of them rusts in Belgium.
The idea of the "Orient Express" belongs to the Belgian Georges Nagelmakers. In 1889 the train traveled from Paris to Constantinople, exceeding 3000 km, in 67 hours.
Already later, "Orient Express" began to be called all European luxury trains, whose one-double coupes are decorated in the Art Deco style.
Rusted ceilings, moth-eaten seats - all this looks impressive, though.
The driver's cab.
The first Orient Express left Paris and traveled to Vienna on October 4, 1883.
