Independence day is celebrated 6 march every annual year.Today is Tuesday and according to the calendar,independence day should be celebrated.But the question is how it's going to be done?
Ghana will be celebrating 61st Independence anniversary at Accra which is the capital city of Ghana and it will be held at the independence square in Accra.
The main reason why we celebrate independence day in Ghana, is to remember our fall-father, how they fought and risked their life's for us to gain freedom from our colonial masters.
Ghana gained independence from the their colonial masters in 1957 with Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah ,and other who fought well among include J.B Danquah ,Ako Adjei,Edward Akuffo Addo,Ofori Atta , Obetsebi-Lamptey
Ghana celebrates it's independence day every 6 March, commemorating the day in 1957 to remember their past.
Today Tuesday 6 March, 2018 marks 61 years since Ghana gained independence after so many years of colonial rule.
First Ghana was formerly known as Gold Coast which was named by our colonial masters because ,they said the land was blessed with Gold and so many natural resources like timber,bauxite,etc.

Ghana marked its 61st Independence anniversary at Accra.The event kick-starts a series of activities scheduled to take place as part of the anniversary celebration and will be held by many dignities from other country.
Also the occasion will be address by Nigeria President, Mohammadu Buhari, who is scheduled to address the gathering.
It is envisaged that the Nigerian leader will use the opportunity to reaffirm the long-standing warm relations between the peoples and governments of both nations.
