** 24/02/1919 **
- The US government decided not to join the League of Nations. At the same time, it aims at restoring peace state with the German Reich. After initial neutrality, the United States had entered into the war on the Allied side in 1917, but had not signed the Treaty of Versailles in 1919-20.
- In Munich, the German right-wing nationalist, founded by Anton Drexler 1919 Labor Party (Workers' Party [NSDAP] later National Socialist German) will hold a mass rally. Adolf Hitler - since January in charge of party propaganda - announced a worked by him together with Gottfried Feder and Drexler program before nearly 2,000 attendees.
- The teaching in Bonn German linguist Ernst Robert Curtius was appointed to the University of Marburg.
