Hi Steemit friends, (finally got this video to work)
Today I'd like to share some history on the famous 1925 J & C Fischer Ampico Player Piano. The picture of the piano above initially was painted with a dozen coats of green pastel house paint. I took me several months to get it to this beautiful condition. Sadly I don't have any pictures before I restored it. The restoration process was long and tiring but the result is well worth it.

This piano was produce by the American Piano Company which was established in 1980(abbr. Ampico) this manufacturer was located in East Rochester, New York.
From 1913 the American piano company, Ampico was one of the leading producers of reproducing pianos. Winifred MacBride, and Marguerite Volavy (1886–1951),[3] recorded for Ampico, and their rolls are a legacy of 19th and early 20th century aesthetic and musical practice. The piano company had many difficulties but managed to stay afloated by working together with other companies. Ampico piano company did not officially close until 1941. The last model introduced was the Ampico Spinet Reproducing Piano, which had all the functionality of a reproducing piano.
