Every nation has their own narrative that is taught in accordance with its own state's agenda. It's unfortunate that in the US so much misinformation is given and so much important information is left out especially when it comes to US history, Vietnam and covert wars for example. Also disappointing is that the curriculum is largely the same as it was 70 years ago. The US educational system is badly in need of being revamped to provide information that is relevant to the students respective of their given age. It is meaningless to students at the age of 14 to have to read the Great Gatsby as their parents and grandparents likely also did.
Fortunately this is not the case for students of some countries such as Norway and India, who are leading the way in education today by offering higher education at lower costs and being relevant to the current times.
