Intra Party (or intra same political group) Murders - why almost all revolutionaries faced murderous infighting, EXCEPT American Revolutionaries !!

in #history7 years ago

Across world, for past 5000 years, we have seen that many times, one group of political activists and leaders will fight against other political groups, the group will win and then leaders/activists of that group start fighting amongst themselves to the extent of murders
.
(1) Stalin killed many many many senior/junior party members of his own party after coming into power. All of them were once united in fighting against Tzars

(2) Jawaharlal Ghazi tuned blind eye when British slow poisoned Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, so that Jawaharlal Ghazi can become PM (otherwise Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was going to become PM)
.
(3) Adolf Hitler killed many of the Brown Shirts who had played important role in rise of Adolf Hitler (google "Night of Long Knives")

(4) French revolutionaries who were together in fighting against Monarch, after defeating Monarach too had bitter infighting in which they killed many of their own

(5) Today, we have Togadiaji accusing Modiji of plotting encounter = murder, and we have Haren Pandya supporters making similar allegations. Togadiaji's fear are not 100% fake --- the temple land is going to transferred to NGOs and so there is a very bitter infighting going on. The land value of 100s of temples across India is over Rs 500,000 crore (yes, over rupee five lakh crores) and 1000s of people have killed lakhs of people for such amount.
.
And so on and on
.
But one noteable exeception is - American Revolutionaries
.
After defeating British, there were bitter difference amongst them. Sometimes, they also had duels (which were back then legal) which resulted in deaths. But conspiracy, murders, extra judicial killings etc didnt happen at all.

So what are the reasons, that American Revolutionaries didnt see conspiracy, murders, extra judicial killings which almost all change-makers saw even after they were successful in bringing their own government?
My view on it :-
The American revolutionaries try avoid any further fight in themselves. It would have weaken country and the british can retake it.
When the danger from British side is minimize , at that point of time the power structure was already Democratic , so there was no chance of power consolidation which generally results in killing between the group members.
When the danger from british side is minimize. But there is diffrence in political view results in the civil war of America.
At the time of civilwar in America leadership of both the side( union and confederate) were elected in democratic way.
Generally power consolidation and killing of group member occurs in Autocratic/dictatorial govt.
In my knowledge this is the best possible answer .
